Around the world as many as 200 million orphans are growing up without a family
Just in Florida alone, there are about 14,000 children in Foster Care
Caring for Orphans & Vulnerable Children can end the crisis
THE PROBLEM |
Our world currently has around 200 million children growing up without a family. These kids are at risk to missing out on human basics like health, education and stable relationships from the very beginning of their lives. This is the Global Orphan Crisis.
THE SOLUTION |
Everyone can do something. And sometimes those somethings range from one thing to the next.
| adop·tion | to take by choice into a relationship; especially : to take voluntarily (a child of other parents) as one’s own child
| fos·ter | affording, receiving, or sharing nurture or parental care though not related by blood or legal ties
| safe fam·i·ly | a form of foster care within your local community, but often for short periods of time and at a moment’s notice in order to help a parent regain stability for their children
| wrap-around care | to rally around friends in the community who have welcomed vulnerable children into their homer through providing meals, childcare, resources and more
| giving | to gladly offer funds to help support a child’s access to better health, education and other basic needs that invite joy and possibility into their life
OUR PURPOSE & VISION |
LOVE MADE VISIBLE exists to help connect each person to their role in putting the Global Orphan Crisis to rest by connecting them with all the resources they need to find and fulfill that role.
We believe that if our own children have access to basic needs (such as a good education, a loving family and opportunity to grow into their God-given potential), then every other child in the world should have those things available to them as well.
We believe something should and can be done about the Global Orphan Crisis and we choose to be part of the solution.
We believe that in ending the Global Orphan Crisis we will also be putting a massive dent in the related crisis of Child Trafficking.
We believe in doing everything we can to become smarter, more strategic and bolder as an organization in reaching a solution to this problem and sharing what we learn with the global community.
We believe in celebrating victories and acts of heroism, no matter how big or small.
We believe in joy—which is so often shown to us through our children, their wildness and God’s care for them through us.
Through a multi-faceted and holistic approach to the Global Orphan Crisis, we believe we will see the orphans of today become the brilliance of tomorrow’s communities and the world will be transformed.
