Local Foster Care

The injustice some children face within our own country is staggering. There are around 402,000 children within America who are currently in foster care, this is due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Around 100,000 of these children are actually available and waiting to be adopted. Each year 20,000 children age out of the foster care system without being adopted, leaving them with no where to call home. If nothing changes by the year 2020, more then 10.5 million children would have spent time in foster care, around 300,000 children will age out of the foster care system without being adopted, and 75,000 former foster children will experience homelessness. This is in our own country, and as you can see if we don’t do something the numbers will continue to rise. Make the difference in a child’s life today and educate yourself on the foster care system. Below are ways you can get involved and websites full of information about foster care.
